Having been born into an
artist family, I
think I had a pencil in my hand from day one. I got my degree in fine
arts (with emphasis in sculpture and printmaking) from Skidmore
College, and proceeded to teach in public school, and do some freelance
illustration; but life interfered with my creative process, and I got
away from my art. As of 2008, I’m literally back to
the
drawing board and having fun with my new adventure into color. My
subject matter runs the gamut from machines to animals to figures to
landscapes as I explore not only color, but the possibilities inherent
in collage. I get my inspiration from nature and the gorgeous land and
seascapes that surround me on the central coast of California .
